Tom Brady Has Hilarious Reaction to Phil Mickelson Birdie at PGA Championship

The 2021 PGA Championship saw Phil Mickelson become the oldest golfer to win a major tournament at the age of 50. Defying all odds, Mickelson proved that age is just a number. Much like Tom Brady continues to do so in the NFL.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is a fan of the sport and an avid golfer himself. He has often been seen taking time off to hit the golf course with his friends and family.

Thus seeing Mickelson’s heroics definitely had Brady hooked much like golfing fans around the world. And one particular play of Mickelson that stood out had Tom Brady enthralled as well.

Tom Brady wowed by Mickelson’s birdie

Entering the final round of the 2021 PGA Championship at Ocean Course on Sunday atop the leaderboard, Mickelson pulled off a stunning birdie on hole 5.

Hitting his tee shot into the bunker, Mickelson chipped his shot to complete a stunning birdie. While the crowd at Ocean course went ballistic, Brady too took to Twitter to share his excitement.

Citing Terrell Owens’ classic “That’s my quarterback” line, Brady shared a clip of Mickelson making the incredible shot. What’s important to note here is that Brady and Mickelson have known each other for some time.

The two partnered up earlier last year to take on Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods in a charity golf match to raise funds for COVID-19 relief. And even back then Brady showed that he’s no pushover on the golf course either.

At the age of 50, Mickelson broke the record previously held by Julius Boros, who won the PGA Championship at age 48 in 1968. Brady too knows a thing or two about proving doubters wrong.

The record seven-time Super Bowl champion continues to flourish into his 40s. Winning two Super Bowl rings after the age of 40, the quarterback too has shown that he has the upper Hand over father time.

By the time the 2021 NFL season comes around Tom Brady will be 44. And with no signs of slowing down, one shouldn’t be surprised to see Brady lift another Super Bowl if he’s still around playing the sport at the age of 50.

Something that which each passing day seems more like a genuine possibility than a distant reality.
