Urban Meyer is the new Head Coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Meyer, who is one of the most successful college coaches in history, is starting his first stint in the NFL.
He is tasked with turning the Jacksonville Jaguars’ fortunes around, considering how they have struggled in recent years. In fact, his success in the collegiate scene is why the Khan family recruited him to run their franchise.
However, he was coordinating a new offense yesterday – for AEW wrestler Chris Jericho. During last night’s AEW special Double Or Nothing, the main event was a Stadium Stampede match, taking place at TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

During the match, AEW stars Chris Jericho and MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) brawled all over the stadium, eventually making their way to the office of Urban Meyer. There, Meyer and Charlie Strong helped Jericho attack MJF, tossing him footballs and even a laptop.

Meyer’s appearance on the show comes as no surprise. The match was held at the Jaguars’ stadium. However, the connection is far deeper. All Elite Wrestling is owned and operated by Tony Khan, son of Jaguars owner Shahid Khan.
Tony is a co-owner of the Jaguars franchise and probably orchestrated a cameo from the new Head Coach. The Khan family will be happy with the notoriety this cameo appearance generated for Meyer and the Jaguars.
Urban Meyer ready to find success in Jacksonville
But now, Urban Meyer’s job will be focused on the franchise. The Jaguars have been very poor in the last few years. So Meyer was recruited to help them improve.
As mentioned earlier, Meyer is one of the most successful head coaches in college football history. His stint with Ohio State is legendary, and he built quite a reputation for himself.

All he has to do is build a strong team around Lawrence, and fortify the defensive unit. Furthermore, he also has to try to institute a culture of winning.
Now that is easier said than done. But if Meyer can bring some of his tactics to the Jaguars, then they can be a strong performing team next season.
