Back in 2019, the Tennessee Titans faced the Oakland Raiders and soundly beat them. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was the primary architect of the victory as he picked apart the Raiders defense. With his efforts, the Titans romped to 21 first-half points via 263 passing yards and two touchdowns.
However, what really got people talking was his throws, one of which was a 91-yard touchdown strike to A.J. Brown. He went on to better that with a 50-yard hit on Raiders defensive lineman Maurice Hurst on an interception return.
The Titans were in Oakland territory on their first drive of the game when Tannehill attempted to hit Jonnu Smith. Unfortunately, a 6-foot-5 obstacle called Maxx Crosby stood in his way. So Hurst could catch it and dashed towards the end zone.

However, Tannehill then took off after Hurst at speeds that would even impress Usain Bolt. He made it 55 yards downfield to flatten Hurst before he could be home and dry.

How Ryan Tannehill helped the Titans to victory
Usually, QB-on-defensive lineman interactions aren’t good for the passer. But it’s certain Tannehill’s teammates will take note of his physicality in a situation where most quarterbacks decline the option to tackle the returner.
As a result, the Tennessee Titans extended their three-game winning streak to four. The final score read 42-21 in Week 14, though many predicted that this game was going to be a shootout. As it turned out, both teams combined for 550 yards of total offense in the first half.

However, The Titans took control in the second half, courtesy a couple of defensive stands. A huge 46-yard scoop-and-score fumble recovery touchdown from Titans linebacker Jayon Brown also helped their cause.
That year, the Titans placed 2nd in the AFC South Division and won the Wildcard and Divisional Playoffs. Sadly, they lost the AFC Championship playoffs to the Kansas City Chiefs.
