When somebody tries to recall the greatest catches of all time in NFL history, one name pops out in unison, and that being none other than Odell Beckham Jr. To do that kind of wonder in the rookie season requires a lot of guts. Well, he took the chance and now finds himself among the top prospects in the league. While there are plenty of videos on the internet showcasing the glorious moment, another angle of this event has now resurfaced on social media, drawing crazy fan reactions.

The incident happened in November, 2014, when an overpacked MetLife stadium watched the one-hand catch in awe. It was a Week 12 matchup between the Giants and the Cowboys, with OBJ playing in his rookie season as the first-round pick out of LSU.

This back view of OBJ’s incredible efforts gives closer look into his parenthesis formation. Even the Cowboys fans couldn’t believe their eyes, and in no time, these acrobatics captured each and every hoarding across the country.

“Where has this angle been for 8 years,” said one of the fans.
“This will never be topped,” said another one.
“This angle is crazy”, “Greatest angle of all time”, “Bro didn’t even know he caught it”, “I can’t believe this 8 years ago, God dang time flies”, and “Catch was so tough” were some of the other reactions.

Despite showcasing an incredible performance, the Giants had to return disappointed. They lost the game 30-28, with OBJ’s breathtaking stint as the only move to be happy about.

Anyways, the wideout’s one-handed catching ability comes from his late-night practice sessions and grueling training at LSU. All those hours and hours of monotonous workouts bore fruit eventually in the grand arena.

NFL wide receiver Jarvis Landry played a huge role in OBJ’s career as the duo shared the same locker room back at LSU. While speaking in an interview, the veteran recalled how they conducted extra practice sessions and pushed limits to achieve this level of excellence.

“(Landry) started this,” Beckham said, via The Athletic. “That’s the reason this all happened because of him. We would sneak into the (LSU) facility at midnight and shoot (balls from the) JUGS (machine) until 2 a.m. We would be like, ‘Let’s go outside and talk,’ and we would go throw right outside our room, throwing the football back and forth,” he added.

“Him throwing the ball as hard as he can at me and (me just having) to catch it. The worst throws possible, you have to catch it,” he added. No doubt, this moment will be cherished for several years and generations to come.
