Who Will Replace Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson if he Leaves in 2021?

Since joining the NFL back in 2012, Russell Wilson has truly established himself as one of the top-performing quarterbacks in the last decade.
The Seattle Seahawks man, a 3rd-round draft pick (75th overall) quickly rose to fame in his debut season itself. He finished his rookie year throwing for 3,100+ yards and 26 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions.
He led the Seahawks to their first-ever Super Bowl title in 2014. Of course, credit must also be given to the famous ‘Legion of Boom’ defense, but it was Wilson’s on-field athletic prowess that led Pete Carroll’s offense to the Super Bowl XLVIII title almost 7 years ago.

Seahawks’ QB Russell Wilson has not demanded a trade, his agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN. Wilson has told the Seahawks he wants to play in Seattle but, if a trade were considered, the only teams he would go to are the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Bears.

Of course, if the latest reports are to be believed, Wilson is going nowhere. While that remains a possibility, coach Carroll and the Seahawks definitely have one eye on potential reinforcements just in case the unthinkable happens.
Due to the Jamal Adams trade with New York Jets last year, the Seahawks do not possess a 1st round pick in 2021. They own the 56th overall pick in the 2nd round. They will be eyeing Florida-based quarterback Kyle Trask as a possible option to replace Wilson.

The 22-year-old had a decent season with the Florida Gators. Trask finished the 2020 college football season with 4,283 passing yards and 43 touchdowns, against just 8 interceptions. He was also a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Apart from potential trade deals, Trask can serve as a viable option to replace Wilson from a long-term point of view. But whether he will be available that late in the draft process is a matter of concern. Regardless, one way or another the Seahawks need to hold on to Wilson, at least for another year.
