Russell Wilson is just about willing to do anything it takes to forget and bounce back from what was the 2022-23 season for the Denver Broncos. In his first year in Broncos Country Orange, the quarterback experienced a calamitous AFC debut. However, a man of strong faith, Wilson refuses to sit back and let the situation take control. And as he prepares for a new season with a new head coach at the helm, Danger Russ is drawing the motivation from a familiar source.

The former Seattle Seahawks passer is no stranger to grit, determination, and hard work. However, when it comes to the outcome, he often leaves it up to the higher powers. Wilson recently shared a video on his Instagram story to let fans know just how he feels, as the offseason team activities get underway.

No one expected the Super Bowl XLVIII champion to finish his first Broncos season with a 5-12 losing record in what was the worst year of his 11-year playing career. Wilson’s offense ranked lowest in points per game (16.9) and second-lowest in total touchdowns (29). This culminated with the firing of former head coach Nathaniel Hackett, only 15 games into the job. In came Sean Payton. Wilson had been waiting to pair up with the former Lombardi-winning ex-Saints HC for a long time. And Russell’s prayers bore fruit even before the season got underway.

Wilson shared a motivational video that mainly encouraged viewers to focus on the “process” of cultivating their faith in a higher power. “I put you in the process so that you could go through what was necessary. To be tough enough to stand where I’m taking you. Oh, you didn’t hear what I’m saying. The process makes you tough. It makes you tenacious. The process prunes your heart. It purges your sensibilities. It burns out all the wrong motives you had when you started,” the speaker said.
