NFL Opinion: Did the New England Patriots Get the Better Deal in Trade for Sony Michel Involving LA Rams?
Follow Us
With the 2021 NFL season just days away, teams are now busy focusing on cutting down their roster to meet the league’s criteria. But that hasn’t stopped the LA Rams from trading for New England Patriots running back Sony Michel.
The former first-round pick has been a mixed bag for the Patriots. While he did score the Patriots’ only touchdown of the game in Super Bowl LIII against the LA Rams, his career hasn’t really taken off as expected.
Injuries have hampered his time on the field. But the running back is still more than capable of picking up a first down and more on his day. And he clearly did enough to convince the LA Rams to trade a fifth and sixth-round pick. This could later be converted to a fourth-round pick if LA receives a compensatory selection.
