The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a dream start. With the first drive of the game, the Bucs have gotten their first touchdown of the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers. Quarterback Tom Brady connecting with wide receiver Mike Evans gave the Bucs their first points of the game.
Tom Brady gets the vital first touchdown
At 3rd & 7, the Buccaneers were looking for a first down attempt. But Brady had other ideas. Taking the snap and looking to his left, the veteran quarterback connected with Mike Evans in the end zone to put Tampa ahead with less than 5 minutes played.

The field goal attempt was good, and the Buccaneers took the lead in the NFC Championship Game 7-0 at Lambeau Field. The Packers, however, rallied back in the 2nd quarter of the game to go level.

The touchdown was Mike Evans‘ 11th red zone touchdown of the season. The wide receiver also made history recently by breaking an all-time NFL record previously held by the legendary Randy Moss.
During the Buccaneers Week 17 game, Mike Evans became the first player in NFL history to record 1,000+ receiving yards in each of his first 7 seasons.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing their first Conference Championship Game since 2002. The same year, the franchise won their first and only Super Bowl.
