Tampa Bay Buccaneers Legend Claims Tom Brady is Going to Play ‘Forever’

Tom Brady ended his 20-year association with Bill Belichick-coached New England Patriots prior to the start of the 2020 NFL season. The six-time Super Bowl winner was in search of a new challenge. Despite being on the wrong side of 40, Brady was adamant that he was still in prime condition to challenge for major honors.
The 43-year old signed a two-year deal with NFC South franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth $68m (including bonuses) in the offseason. And after just 19 games, Tom Brady has led the Buccaneers to their first Super Bowl since 2003 when they defeated Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Brady has been terrific in the NFL Playoffs this year. His performances in post-season wins over New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers was nothing short of brilliant. As Brady edges towards a potential 7th Championship ring, one can’t help but wonder. how long can he keep playing at such a high level? Surely, he’s bound ‘burn-out’ sooner rather than later.

American fullback Mike Alstott was a major part of the Buccaneers organization between 1996-2007. He spent his entire career in Tampa Bay and was part of the team that won the Super Bowl in 2003-04. As the Bucs gear up for the season finale on Sunday night, Alstott highlights the impact that Tom Brady has made in such a short span of time.

He said, “I think he just came out (and said) he wants to play past 45, right? And it’s unbelievable how he keeps his body and maintains his body and everything he has, with the game and you know?”

“I was telling somebody the other day would you play that long? I would play forever and he’s playing forever. He’s playing at a high level and look at him. He’s, he’s taking the Bucs to the Super Bowl,” Alstott said on the show.
