Max Homa Brags on Twitter After Achieving Career Milestone

Max Homa gained a reputation on the tour after winning a couple of events, but fans love him for more than his golf talent. Homa has a dedicated Twitter account to provide tour updates and interact with fans, but he adds a lot of humor that makes his posts look even more interesting!
Homa is currently enjoying his stint on the PGA Tour. The talented golfer just recently won on the tour and he’s still enjoying the euphoria of it. Being a tour pro means that you’d have a jam-packed schedule, but Homa always finds time for some leisure golf.
Max Homa claims the first-ever albatross of his career

Max Homa finished 17th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and make a quick detour. He was supposed to head home, but went to the Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama instead!
That’s where Max Homa achieved a major milestone in his career. Homa has never recorded an albatross since turning pro in 2013, but 2021 proved to be lucky. Homa shot an albatross, or a double-eagle, like some people call it, on hole No.11 at Greystone.

It is indeed a massive feat as an albatross is considered sacred in golf. A double-eagle is harder to come by than an ace and it is a one-in-a-million golf shot. Homa used his 3 wood and absolutely nailed the effort.

Homa was overwhelmed with his achievement and naturally posted about it on Twitter. He even used a Kevin Garnett (retired NBA player) quote to hype it up on social media. Well, Max Homa definitely is part of a very rare club now, after having made an albatross.

Homa will compete at the Valspar Championship

Max Homa has been a very busy man on the tour this season. He’s hardly taken time off and has been putting in the effort week in and week out. Homa finished 17th place alongside Talor Gooch at the Zurich Classic 2021, and will also take part in the subsequent Valspar Championship.
The Valspar Championship will run from April 29-May 2, and this will mark Homa’s fourth appearance at the event. He’s previously participated in 2014,2015, and 2019, but faced the cut on all three occasions.
