Tiger Woods is working hard to get back on the PGA Tour. The injuries that he sustained from the single-car crash in February have been keeping him away from the sport longer than expected. However, Woods might be extra motivated to get back on the tour after seeing his recent drop in the Official World Golf Ranking.
The Official World Golf Ranking keeps updating every week or after every tournament. A lot of golfers gained spots on the official chart with the recently concluded AT&T Byron Nelson tournament, but it was a disappointment for Tiger Woods.

Woods, who was 97th on the Official World Golf Ranking last week, has now slipped down to the 103rd spot. The six-spot slide is a major downfall in his career, as he’s never been ranked below the Top 100 since March 2018.
However, Tiger Woods has been experiencing this for quite some years now. He ranked inside the Top 100 of the OWGR from March 2018 to May 2021, but the phase before that was even worse.

The years 2015,2016, and 2017, can be deemed as Woods’ worst on the PGA Tour in terms of where he stood on the rankings. His year-end rank was 416, 652, and 656, respectively, in those three years.
Tiger Woods gained massive spots on the rankings after his 2019 Masters win. He finished 2019 as the sixth-ranked player in the world, his highest year-end ranking since 2013. So it has always been ups and downs for Woods when it comes to his official world golf ranking.

Recovery update on Woods
Tiger Woods met with a single-car crash in February that left him severely injured. Woods was overspeeding at 82-87 mph in a 45 mph zone and authorities declared that this was the sole cause of the accident.
Woods simply lost control and crashed his car near Southern California. He’s been recovering since, and Golf Channel contributor George Savaricas recently provided an update on the 15-time major winner’s recovery timeline.
