Out of eight major wins, five of them have been from the Open Championship. Watson has won this event in 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982, and 1983. He was giving a tough fight to Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and other legends during that era. Hence, he is considered to be one of the best golfers of all time.
