The 3M Open will be played from 21st July to 24th July this year
The winner of the American Express Golf Tournament will be decided today. But, before that PGA Tour has started to celebrate some of the best shots from the tournament; the perfect wedge shot by Rickie Fowler is one of them.

Rickie Fowler is a 33-year-old American golfer who turned pro in 2009. Fowler has won 5 PGA Tour events and 3 International events. He currently ranks in the top 100 golfers of the world and top 50 in the FedEx rank.

Fowler was part of Team USA at the 2008 Arnold Palmer Cup. He also took part in the Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup, Walker Cup, Summer Olympics, and World Cup, representing his country.
Golf Digest’s Rick Gehman picked Rickie to be the winner of this year’s American Express. According to the golf specialist, Fowler is the 12th best golfer on the field and has the potential to win the event. However, Rickie couldn’t make the cut to play in the final round of the American Express.

Although he couldn’t make the cut, PGA Tour is celebrating the perfect wedge shot Rickie played at the tournament.

The PGA Tour posted Rickie’s wedge shot to appreciate some of the best moments from the tournament. However, the tweet didn’t receive any comments that the Tour expected.Â
The dude is 16 shots back and won’t make the cut. PGA tour only cares about names and not the lesser known players that are playing well. Same for tv coverage. The fact that you tweet this while BDR is struggling is pathetic

The fans took this opportunity to troll the Tour for not airing or promoting the front runners but the famous ones. Fowler didn’t make the cut to the final round and fans were not happy to see one of his shots being promoted as the best ones.

Although it is not the first time Fowler being accused of doing more endorsements than golf, many comments were directed towards that as well.
He does an awesome job on the new Cobra commercial though.
