Teenage sensation Joao Felix has been making headlines off-late after his brilliant season with current Portuguese Primeira Liga leaders Benfica.

The 19-year old attacking midfielder became the youngest player to score a hat-trick in Europa League history in Benfica’s quarter-final first leg tie against Eintrich Frankfurt last week. He followed that up with another goal at the weekend in Benfica’s 4-2 win against Setúbal in their pursuit of a fifth league title in six years.

The Portuguese wonderkid has been prolific for the Eagles this season scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists in the top-flight. His performances in the Europa League have also shown his world-class potential at one of Europe’s grand stages.

Italian champions Juventus and current Champions League holders Real Madrid have also shown strong interest in Joao Felix, who will reportedly cost a staggering €120 million. Pep Guardiola’s side, however, has shown considerable interest in landing the midfielder to the Etihad, but are reluctant to pay the heavy sum.

Jorge Mendes, known to be the agent of superstar players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez and Bernardo Silva, has already been appointed by the 19-year old who looks to make it big in one of Europe’s top clubs.
