After winning the French open 2020, Rafael Nadal is all set to return to the court at the Rolex Paris Masters 2020. Although the location remains the same, the Spaniard will be playing on hard court indoors this time.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner is returning after a long break of three weeks. Some sources have said that Rafa hasn’t been feeling well of late and hence might suffer from an injury in the tournament. However, Rafa was quick to deny all such reports. He said that he was not fearful of any injuries.

“I don’t think about injuries when I come to a tournament, because otherwise, I wouldn’t be playing. When I arrive at a tournament, I try to display my best tennis, not to be petrified by the worries of the past, the injuries that I may have contracted,” said Nadal.

The 34-year-old is yet to win a Paris Masters title. With the defending champion and arch-rival Novak Djokovic not playing this time, it could be a golden opportunity for Nadal to add this feather in his cap. He is also starting as the top-seeded player at the tournament.

Injuries have never stopped Nadal from competing. Before winning his 13th Roland Garros title, he had just played at the Italian Open 2020 after suffering from an injury in March 2020. But it didn’t stop him and he came back strong.

It’s not going to be easy for Nadal. Before this, he has played only one final at the Paris Masters. However, with the kind of form he is in, he will be starting as a favorite in the tournament.
