Since the onset of the global lockdown and pandemic, the WWE has faced many challenges to conducting its live shows. For the tapings, the Performance Centre had been converted into a makeshift stadium, with little space for fans inside.
After the pandemic restrictions were loosened, a small number of fans/performance center recruits populated the stands. This caused major problems for all parties involved, as it made the tapings hard and tiresome to get through.
The talent during the tapings described times when they were asked to stand for hours without any masks or face protection. They also complained of the Florida heat and humidity, which prevented them from giving their best in the ring.

However, after some of the talents spoke out against the hard conditions during filming, WWE has managed to implement some measures. These should make the entire process easier, for the time being at least.
Better Working Conditions for WWE Talent
The Performance Center recruits are now allowed to sit down and take some rest after each segment is taped. They have access to food trucks and coolers for energy drinks, which might help lift their spirits during the grueling shoots.

Taking care of their own should have been the first thing on the WWE’s mind. In an effort to adjust to the new pandemic conditions, many changes were forced to be made. In these odd conditions, it is surprising that the WWE had not put the needs of their employees first. Things like refreshments, rests, better food etc. should have been something that was available from day 1 itself.

The tents where the tapings were held were also air-conditioned, helping the fans/recruits stay in a better mindset for longer. It is safe to say that the Performance Center recruits are now at least a little bit happier while participating in the tapings.
