Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird Spotted at Pac-12 Game as They Saw 3X NCAA Champions Stanford Down UCLA

Megan Rapinoe is one of the greatest players for the USMNT. The playmaker has enjoyed a stellar career so far, both at the domestic and international levels. The co-skipper led her side to a second consecutive women’s FIFA World Cup.

Even off the pitch, she is America’s most influential figure. Rapinoe is a major social activist, and when it comes to rights and equality, she has stood and fought for them fiercely.

Especially when it comes to women and sports, she has been supportive and sympathetic. Megan stood up when it came to fighting for transgender women to play sports and get equal pay.

In a bid to promote women and sports, Megan usually goes to watch other sports as well. Hence, last night, she and her girlfriend, Sue Bird, went to the NCAA Pac-12 women’s basketball league.

Both went to watch the enthralling match between the UCLA Bruins and the Stanford Cardinal. The power couple was spotted at the Pauley Pavilion, where they also met Cardinal coach Tara VanDerveer.

Bruins had a major setback after they lost 59-72 against the Cardinal. They go to 14-3 (3-2 Pac-12), while the winning party strengthens to 17-1 (5-0 Pac-12). The Bruins have now lost two out of three games.

They were brilliant in the first three quarters but couldn’t keep the momentum in the fourth as their shots didn’t connect. The Bruins have gone down to the eighth while the Cardinal keep their place at the second. Nevertheless, it was a delightful match between the two that both Megan and Sue enjoyed.

Megan also gave her fans amazing news after her club, the OL Reign, announced her re-signing through 2023. The veteran had seven goals and four assists in 14 games in 2022.

This club means the world to me, and I’m fully committed to helping this team to the best of my ability,” said Megan. “Under Laura’s leadership and surrounded by this level of talent and quality, I’m confident we will continue to raise the bar and set the standard for success beyond the sport.”

Ol Reign head coach Laura Harvey was also delighted with her stay and work together. “Pinoe is here to stay! I think her performances last season truly showed everyone that she is one of the best players in the world,” she said.

Megan will be looking to guide her domestic side to glory. Fans and the whole team are happy with her stay at the club.
