Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe were said to be inseparable during their time at PSG. It seems, however, that a massive rift has emerged in their friendship in recent years. The Brazilian added fuel to the fire as he recently unfollowed Mbappe, following his move to Al-Hilal. While fans wondered if the actions were just due to a change of teams, it seems like Neymar’s actions had an ulterior motive.

There have been numerous speculations about a potential rift between Neymar and Mbappe. Both players are some of the biggest names across soccer, with the two forming a great partnership at PSG. However, just weeks after leaving PSG, it seems Neymar wants nothing to do with the Frenchman.

Neymar Jr. made a surprising decision after he decided to leave PSG for Al Hilal. However, following his departure, the player has decided to burn the bridges with his friend from Paris. The Brazilian stunned fans after it was showcased that the player had stopped following Mbappe on Instagram.

Surprisingly, the Brazilian, despite unfollowing Mbappe on his Instagram account, still continues to follow his brother. With Neymar still following Ethan Mbappe, it is hard not to assume that things have soured between the former best friends. It has also been reported that Kylian Mbappe was one of the people who wanted the Brazilian out of the club.

While Neymar’s recent actions may come off as surprising to many fans, a lot of them had already predicted a falling out between the two superstars. Both Neymar and Mbappe, who were joined by the hip during their early years at PSG, have seemingly fallen out in recent months.

From best friends to frosty strangers

Things have not been the same between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. The Frenchman was one of the first players to welcome to Brazilian to PSG with open arms following his move from Barcelona. The duo established a great friendship over the years, with the pair often photographed together at parties.

It seems like with time, however, the friends have fallen out with each other. There were multiple instances during Neymar’s stint with PSG where it seemed like the player was unhappy with the French World Cup winner. Multiple media outlets reported that Neymar was not happy after Mbappe was appointed as the team’s lead penalty taker, a role he previously held.

The enigmatic star, following his exit from PSG, also lashed out at the club and its supporters, claiming he was never welcome in Paris. Apart from his statements, it has also been reported that the duo had an awkward moment as Neymar did not invite Mbappe to his PSG farewell party.
