The Saudi Pro League has sent a ripple effect all over the world just six months after acquiring their most prized transfer Cristiano Ronaldo. They’ve signed several more soccer stars after the Portuguese soccer legend. However, as it is with every soccer club, Al Nassr is looking at balancing their books and making up for the big-money arrivals of star names from Europe.

Since the Portuguese soccer veteran’s stunning move to Al Nassr, followed by the arrival of several big names in the SPL, the Asian continent and perhaps the world has taken notice. But it’s now time to recover some of that vastly spent money.

The players who will reportedly need to move on include Mohammed Qasem, Majid Qashish, and Fahad Al-Zubaidi. Out of the trio, Majid Qashish, and Al-Zubaidi are both 21-year-olds. While Mohamed Qasem is 28. Why are these players mainly on the chopping block? Let’s dive deeper.

The trio of Al Nassr players to be axed have underwhelmed

The left-back Qashish has risen through the ranks at Al Nassr and has only featured for the Arabian club five times in the SPL and twice in the King’s Cup. So, it’s rather apparent that he’s surplus to requirements. The 28-year-old Qasem has been tossed around all over the SPL throughout his career. He started as a youth product at Al-Ittihad Club and eventually ended up at Al Nassr.

Qasem is also a left-back who has made 181 appearances in the SPL. But he has managed to score only 4 goals and 6 assists in that many games. Al-Zubaidi is a relatively unknown 21-year-old forward who has made only one appearance for Saudi Arabia’s u-23 national team. It perhaps comes as no surprise that Luis Castro is looking at moving these players on.

The tweet from Al Nassr’s official handle suggests that the trio can be either sold or loaned out. So out of the three, perhaps Qashish and Al-Zubaidi could only be loaned out. This is quite possible considering that they’re still young at 21. While Qasem whose market value is around $2.5 million could seemingly be sold from the looks of it.
