It was an awful day for the Brazilian supporters as their team ended up drawing against Venezuela in the dying minutes. Brazil looked to be the most dominant side in the game but failed to make their chances count. In the end, Venezuela the match following a worldly bicycle kick goal by Eduard Bello. Shockingly, the pumped-up home supporters then threw a popcorn bucket at Neymar as he made his way to the dressing room. A Brazilian analyst has now asked the fans to take it a step ahead, suggesting the use of more ugly acts.

It was the first match for Neymar after the birth of his daughter, Mavie. He looked visibly displeased after the game and the popcorn bucket incident got on his nerves. But this is nothing new for Neymar, who’s had it worse during his time in Paris.

Gabriel scored the opener for Brazil with an assist by Neymar. The team had a total of six shots on target but was able to convert just one. Juventus’ Danilo was also injured early in the game and had to be substituted. In the end, the game was all about the missed chances as Venezuela needed just one to equalize, which they did. An angry and frustrated Brazilian critic lamented Fernando Diniz and Neymar.

Jose Ferreira Neto, a former soccer player turned critic, was on the edge and angrily shared his take on the manager and player as he said, “Then Neymar and Diniz come and complain that it’s absurd to throw a bag of popcorn. Dude, you have to pee, everyone has to pee on their heads, poop and play, man…. you have to do that.”

The remarks made by Neto will surely be upsetting for the players. Considering the match could’ve been easily won by Brazil, the remarks have come across as unnecessarily hurtful and demeaning towards the players. Next on the road is a much more difficult fixture for the Brazilians as they face Uruguay away.

Neymar’s accustomed to having it rough from the critics. The popcorn incident with the fans is sure to cause much more frustration for the player but he has faced worse situations in Paris. The Ligue 1 fans are known to be among the most notorious fans in the soccer sphere.

In another incident in Marseille, Neymar encountered the wrath of Marseille fans at Stade Velodrome. A fan even threw a bottle at Neymar during a corner kick. However, PSG emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. Neymar had previously faced continuous booing from Marseille fans after being sent off in a similar fixture the previous year. He didn’t hold back in criticizing the fans for their behavior and called for better player protection.
