We’re fighting it, there’s still a lot of teams fighting for it.” The San Diego Waves forward suggests that they are entering this year’s World Cup campaign in a rather different spirit.

The 33-year-old praised the advancements witnessed in women’s soccer during the previous four years. She also insisted that there are other women’s national teams that are still fighting for the same cause. Morgan believes that this year’s World Cup campaign will offer them a chance to help the cause of other national teams.

USWNT announces roster ahead of 2023 World Cup

With less than a month remaining for the Women’s World Cup, the official roster for the U.S. women’s national team was unveiled by head coach Vlatko Andonovski on Wednesday. Among the selected group of players, 14 individuals will be making their World Cup debut as part of the USWNT. On the other hand, nine players have previously represented the team in at least two World Cup tournaments.

This prestigious event will see these talented athletes vie for soccer’s most coveted title. While the team resounds with the obvious names of Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, and Kelley O’Hara, many youngsters will get a chance to feature in their first-ever World Cup.
