Manchester City and Norway frontman Erling Haaland is one of the most feared strikers in the modern game. The Norwegian hitman after all top scored in Europe last season with 52 goals in 53 games. Haaland responded to his recent blip and 3-game goal drought for Man City by scoring a brace in Norway’s 4-0 win over Cyprus and he has posted a message on social media in preparation for their next match against Spain.

It’s no secret that Haaland is a nightmare for most defenders and goalkeepers across Europe, and one of Spain’s goalkeepers has further justified that, as per his latest comments. 26-year-old Unai Simon commented about facing the lethal forward ahead of the  Norway clash.

After scoring 2 goals in Norway’s 4-0 win over Cyprus, the Manchester City striker equaled legendary German forward Gerd Muller’s record of scoring 27 goals in his first 27 international games. Gerd Muller, who is widely regarded as one of Germany’s greatest players, achieved the feat of scoring 27 goals in his first 27 international games in 1970. Subsequently, Haaland became the first European player to equal the longstanding record set by Muller after 53 years.

However, despite his heroics against Cyprus, all eyes are now on the upcoming clash against Spain. La Roja are currently 2nd in Group A after beating group leaders Scotland 2-0 in the previous matchday as they sit on 12 points after 5 games, while Norway are 3rd with 10 points from 6 games.
