It wasn’t easy for David Beckham to get his hands on Lionel Messi. David Beckham shares the behind-the-scenes happenings of the deal and how he feared that Lionel Messi might return to Spain.

He said, “We’d made the offer but then obviously he’d had offers from Saudi, he’d had offers obviously to go back to Barcelona and the Barcelona one kind of really worried me.”

Beckham continues to explain why the Barcelona move scared him the most as he said, “Obviously it (Barcelona) pulls on the heartstrings for him he never really got to say a proper goodbye at Barcelona so that was the one that really worried me but then you know it was then down to him to decide.”

Messi’s brother-in-law finds in place at the same club

Inter Miami has announced Tuli Arellano as their new under-19 coach. Arellano hails from the same neighborhood as the Messi family, La Bajada. His appointment comes as no surprise, given his previous success coaching Florida’s under-19 soccer team. Arellano clinched the South Division title in the Florida United Premier Soccer League (UPSL).

What makes this appointment even more intriguing is Arellano’s connection to the soccer world. He is in a relationship with Maria Sol Messi, the sister of  Lionel Messi himself. As he joins Inter Miami, Arellano is expected to play a crucial role in nurturing young talent. The club wants him to echo the same impact that Lionel Messi has had on the senior team.
