Jude Bellingham is one of the biggest generational talents in soccer. Currently, he’s basking in the glory of his stellar performance at Real Madrid, following his blockbuster $111 million transfer this summer. But in an intriguing revelation, Bellingham had a unique opportunity to join forces with his former teammate, Erling Haaland, that was being orchestrated by none other than Pep Guardiola.

Both Haaland and Jude Bellingham are enjoying one heck of a season with their respective clubs. However, both had a chance to continue rallying for glory together.

Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham were once the stars of Borussia Dortmund. Together at the German club, the youngsters shined like beacons and cemented their name at the elite level. Sadly, their partnership broke after Haaland moved to Manchester City during the 2022/23 season. A year later, Bellingham also decided to take a big leap in his career and sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

While the two continue to live their best lives at their respective domestic sides, apparently, there was a possibility for them to do it together as teammates. As per Cadena SER, Pep Guardiola wanted to reunite Bellingham with Haaland this summer. The former Barcelona tactician even spoke with the 20-year-old midfielder for three hours, in order to convince him to join Manchester City and reject the advances of Real Madrid.

Furthermore, the Premier League side attempted to outbid Real Madrid by offering a more lucrative financial package to both Jude Bellingham and Dortmund. Unfortunately, the Englishman had already set sights on playing in Santiago Bernabeu. Indeed, it is quite an interesting revelation. From the looks of it, his decision has proven to be right, as he is in scintillating form at Los Blancos.
