However, the announcement has also raised the question of what will be the next assignment for the German coach. Amid the several links, Real Madrid star Toni Kroos wants the current Reds coach to manage the German national team.

It comes amid the former German midfielder considering his return to the national team. Notably, Kroos announced his retirement from international football. Hence, the possible appointment of Klopp would certainly indicate the huge ambitions of the national team.

Several years ago, Jurgen Klopp indicated that he would love to manage a national team in the future. Well, with the German coach set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, the chance could be now. He has been already linked with several clubs for the future. However, amid all the rumors, former German midfielder Toni Kroos wants him to manage the national team. He said, “He deserves to make this decision on his own. He is a very intelligent man who understands the moment. As fans of German football, we can only hope that at some point we can convince him to play any role in Germany. This is what we have been wanting for many, many years. If he thinks that now is the time, then simply: chapeau.”

The 34-year-old midfielder was also in full praise for the job Klopp had done for the Reds. He further called the German a legendary coach in both Germany and England. The recent comments do not come as a surprise as the Real Madrid midfielder observed him up close when he was playing for Bayern Munich and Klopp was managing Borrusia Dortmund.

There is no doubt that the experience of the 35-year-old could prove to be invaluable for the national team. Toni Kroos announced his decision to retire from the national team in 2021 after the humiliating elimination of the team in Euros 2020.
