But Cristiano Ronaldo has been hit by regular injuries this season. Even though the severity of the recent one seems to be minor, will the Riyadh-based club take a risk on him? The star was seen recently in Dubai, winning recognition at the Globe Soccer Awards. But according to a fresh training video by Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo was not training with the group. However, the captain was seen in the video during the initial warm-up and later while exiting. On a positive note, it looks like the calf muscle under question is not as severe as thought to be.

It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo was initially supposed to train alone for at least a few weeks. His previous training with the team saw him suffering from pain, which led him to a private recovery session at the club’s clinic. But now, according to reports, the player is already in China and expected to start training soon. Moreover, the former Real Madrid striker appears to recover in time for the much-anticipated Riyadh Season Cup.

Likewise, the current injury scare has gotten fans anxious about the star’s presence for the last dance versus Lionel Messi. The ultimate battle will take place on February 1st, and the cup is boiling with Ronaldo’s recent comments. Meanwhile, Ronaldo won another award to add to his illustrious collection.

Cristiano Ronaldo has not played since December 30th. Nevertheless, the star’s 2024 started with three trophies: the Best Middle East Player, the Fans’ Favorite Player, and the Maradona Award for his 54 goals in 2023. The player once again reminded me that his age doesn’t matter for him to compete at the highest level.

During the Globe Soccer Awards, Ronaldo said, “Imagine beating young animals like Haaland… I’m proud. And I’ll be 39 soon! I like when people doubt again about me, and then I’m successful.” The star would now be expected to take Al Nassr to their first-ever AFC Champions League title.
