Lionel Messi won his 8th Ballon d’Or in Paris. However, the Al Nassr star and his rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, were not even in the race. It is also because he did not perform well for club and country last season. With the two topping the tango in their yesteryears, Cristiano Ronaldo has now liked a controversial claim on Messi’s Ballon d’Or win.

Spanish journalist Tomas Roncero detailed his thoughts on the victory in recent claims, as those observations raised a few eyebrows. However, these claims look like they are coming out of an apparent resentment for the Argentinian after his historic Ballon d’Or win. Or is it?

The soccer supporters were thoroughly enjoying and appreciating Lionel Messi’s victorious attainment of the 8th Ballon d’Or accolade. Nevertheless, it seems to have provoked discontent among certain journalists after Messi’s latest triumph. Roncero made claims that Messi’s Ballon d’Or award was rigged. It looks like Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has also supported the claim. Furthermore, he liked the Instagram reel out by the Spanish journalist and left a laughing emoji in the comments.

Tomás Roncero in his claim said, “Hello friends what we knew has happened, they were going to give another Ballon d’Or to Messi. He went to retire at Miami, but he was already looking like retired at PSG to prepare for the World Cup, he won the World Cup, yes, well, but with 6 penalties.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has already started his season with Al Nassr brilliantly. He has already scored 14 goals and eight assists in 14 matches in all competitions. They sit on top of their Asian Champions League table with aplomb. Al Nassr has also jumped from 3rd to 2nd in the Saudi Pro League table positions. The injury to table toppers Al Hilal star Neymar should give them the advantage for the rest of the season. On the other hand, Lionel Messi also scored plenty of goals for Inter Miami before the season ended.
