Cristiano Ronaldo after the game against Switzerland not only spoke about his move to Al Nassr but also sent a heartfelt message to King Pele. Cristiano started the game on the bench after the fiasco during the South Korea game. Although, manager Fernando Santos did make it clear there are no differences between him and the player.

Fans are aware of the fact that Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo admire each other a lot. Pele is full of praise for the Portuguese forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo wishes a speedy recovery to Pele

Last week, news emerged that soccer legend Pele was moved to end-of-life care after he stopped responding to the chemotherapy. As the news emerged, everyone around the world, including soccer stars, prayed for his health. Social media was full of prayers for the legend. Although now everything seems okay, as Pele himself shared a message about his current health status.

After defeating Switzerland in the round of 16 game, Ronaldo got a few questions, including Pele, from the media on his way back to the dressing room.

The player was quick to reply (via UOL), “Get better; get better Pelé. Our King has to get better. That’s all we want.”  

Ronaldo also replied to a question about his move to Al Nassr. The player denied all the rumors of him accepting the offer. Although, the player did admit that the proposal is on the table. Ronaldo wants to focus on the World Cup and will decide on his future once the campaign ends. It will be interesting to see where Ronaldo plays next year.

Pele, the only soccer player to win three FIFA World Cups in history, is a sports icon. In his journey, he made many records. He still is the youngest player to score in the World Cup final and a hat trick in the World Cup. The official record for most goals, 757, was in his name. Meanwhile, Ronaldo broke the record in 2021 when he was playing for Juventus.

The moment Ronaldo broke the record, Pele did a weird thing. Pele made changes to his Instagram bio. He updated the number of goals from 757 to 1283. Although, fans were quick to spot it and respond to the legend on social media.

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo is breaking goal-scoring records for fun and has crossed 800 career goals. He also holds the record of scoring more international goals. Recently, after scoring against Ghana, Ronaldo became the only player in history to score at five different World Cups. Portugal will next take on Morocco in the quarterfinals, and Ronaldo will hope to add to the goal tally and take Portugal to the next stage.
