Things seem to have gone south for Casemiro at Manchester United. Ever since making a surprising switch from Real Madrid, the Brazilian was a vital component of the team’s success. However, it now seems that he has lost the Red Devils’ camp, becoming the subject of transfer speculation. A ray of hope appears for the midfielder thanks to his former colleague, Cristiano Ronaldo. Al Nassr is reportedly eager to get the two back together and could provide a lifeline for the underperforming star. This report comes from the mouth of renowned Saudi Arabian journalist Ali Al-Harbi.

He claims that Luis Castro’s side will bring Casemiro to Riyadh after his current season ends with Manchester United. The 31-year-old midfielder will be offered a two-year contract that will run until 2026. Earlier, there were reports that the Knights of the Najd would bring the 5X Champions League winner within this winter transfer window. However, the Premier League side’s stance has changed for Casemiro, considering the difficulty of finding a premium replacement. Hence, they want him to stay until at least the end of the season. Although he is contract-bound with United until 2026, the former Los Blancos star might want to leave Old Trafford.

He is reportedly at a crossroads with Erik ten Hag, who has featured him in just 12 games across all competitions. Injuries were one of those reasons, yet Casemiro gave his all, notching 4 goals and an assist so far. Either way, it is indeed great news for Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be looking forward to sharing the locker room with his former teammate. Al Nassr would have to act fast and secure Casemiro’s signature, as Paris Saint-Germain might be on the lookout for him.

One take at a time

I first kicked a soccer ball when I was 12. My early exposure to playing the sport earned me many accolades at the zonal and district levels. I still remember my first goal, where I scored a 90+5 minute header like Sergio Ramos did in the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.
