Cristiano Ronaldo’s Son Spotted Shushing Rival at Al Nassr vs. Al Shabab’s Saudi U-13 Premier League Clash

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Cristiano Ronaldo’s 13-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. had famously followed into his father’s footsteps, signing for Al Nassr in October. Now, the father and son are taking to soccer fields on the very same day. When Ronaldo’s Al Nassr won 3-1 against Al Ettifaq, Cristiano Jr’s Al Nassr’s U-13 team defeated Al Shabab 3-1. A moment from the U-13 match showed that Cristiano Jr has not only followed his father’s path but also mirrored the latter’s on-field antics.

Cristiano Ronaldo has never shied away from involving in a mild on-field altercation or trash-talking. Turns out, Cristiano Jr. also got the same attitude. In a snippet that is now doing rounds on the web, the 13-year-old could be seen asking a rival Al Shabab star to stay quiet.

At one moment during the Al Nassr vs Al Shabab U-13 clash, players waited for the action to resume after the ball went out of play. During this pause, an Al Shabab player crossed paths with Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. The former was continuously talking to Ronaldo’s son. Eventually, the 13-year-old shushed his rival. Cristiano Jr. repeatedly signalled at the Al Shabab player to keep quiet. Soon, Cristiano Jr patted the Al Shabab star on his shoulder when he approached him. However, the latter was not so happy with the gesture, and forcefully lifted the Al Nassr star’s arms.

Ronaldo’s son did not give up. He forcefully let the rival’s hand go and asked him to retreat. The Al Nassr star not only rendered his rival silent but also took three points away from him and Al Shabab.

Few weeks back, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr senior team faced off against Al Shabab in the King Cup. Even then, like the U-13 team, the seniors had the last laugh. Interestingly, much like his son, CR7 threw an antic on the field. Not on any rival, but on a booing crowd.

In the King Cup match between Al Nassr and Al Shabab, Cristiano Ronaldo and co. registered 5-2 win. As Al Nassr was cruising towards a win, rival fans booed at Ronaldo with ‘Messi’ chants. The 38-year-old, however, held his cool. He gestured to his ears and smiled, implying he could not hear the roaring crowd. The star then refocussed on the match, and contributed a goal to the sensational win.

Now, Cristiano Jr. has loudly proclaimed that it is not easy to getter under his skin. While his father has been doing this throughout his career. When Ronaldo Jr. had signed for Al Nassr, Ronaldo shared his son’s desire to share the pitch with him, when he said, “My son tells me: dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!”

It will be interesting to see how Ronaldo Jr. continues to rise in the soccer world and emulate his father.
