Many assumed that the profits would take a hit after an underwhelming last season for Paris Saint Germain. It looks like they were entirely wrong. Despite the presence of Neymar and Lionel Messi, star player Kylian Mbappe has helped the French club boost a turnover of $160 million this season. It means that Mbappe has played a huge role for the club on and off the pitch. This is also one of the reasons PSG wants to extend his contract.
The 2022/23 season was the last season for Lionel Messi. Neither of them had a good second half of the season after the World Cup. The issues with Galtier also impacted them. However, it looks like the performances of Mbappe again came to the rescue. According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, PSG made a total revenue of $875M last season compared to the $715M of the last season. This means that the team has managed to stay among the top 5 European clubs off the pitch.
Kylian Mbappe is still the main man at PSG

Mbappe started becoming the favorite player in the PSG team for many because of his performances. He scored 41 goals in 43 games last season. Whereas, the performances and impact of Messi also went down due to his contract renewal problems with the club. Messi was also linked with moves to MLS side Inter Miami. In the end, PSG did win the Ligue 1 last season to salvage something. However, the Argentinian also failed to win the Champions League.

The French giants are perfectly set up for a solid second half of the season
PSG has made a great start to the season under new manager Luis Enrique. All the new signings of this summer are doing well. It looks like the French giants have got it correct with recruitment after a long time in the transfer window. They are currently top of the Ligue 1 table again this season. Whereas, they are second in their Champions League group.
Kylian Mbappe is also firing all cylinders luckily for them. In his 16 matches, the French forward has scored 16 goals and provided 2 assists in all competitions this season. These stats are impressive as he did not have the best pre-seasons. This is because of the Real Madrid that were continuing to circle around him.
