Inter Miami seems to be closer to signing their next target. The MLS side has been in a relentless pursuit of signing top stars since signing Lionel Messi. Now their next target, Luis Suarez is reported to be joining the team even before the year ends. While this is great for  Miami, it is undoubtedly a disappointing update for Suarez’s current team, Gremio.

Luis Suarez’s contract with Gremio is set to expire on December 31, 2024. However, it now seems that the Uruguayan is leaving the Brazilian side earlier than expected. His destination? None other than his former teammate’s team, Inter Miami, who have been actively pursuing him for months.

The news of Suarez’s departure from Gremio has been officially confirmed. According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami is determined to sign the striker as soon as he becomes a free agent. The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, bringing Suarez to the MLS and leaving Gremio in a state of heartbreak.

Gremio’s manager, Renato Gaucho, expressed his sadness over Luis Suarez’s departure, acknowledging the impact the striker had on the team. Gaucho stated, “We are going to miss him, for sure. He was very loved by everyone. He’s leaving…” Gremio will undoubtedly feel the void left by Suarez. On the other hand, this news is a landmark moment for Inter Miami and the MLS.
