Premier League fans around the world were left stunned last night when Everton hit with a massive ten-point deduction. The side was found guilty of breaching the Financial Fair Play laws during the 2021/22 season. The recent decision has raised questions surrounding the existing cases against defending champion Manchester City. With the team on the brink of a possible relegation, Dominos UK took a dig at the club with their recent social media post.

The Cityzens are currently facing over 115 FFP breach charges. The Premier League has set up an individual committee in charge of deciding on the situation. If the club is found guilty of the charges, the team could be stripped of their titles apart from relegation if found guilty.

Dominos UK on X can often be found poking fun at soccer teams. They recently took a dig at Tottenham Hotspur after the side lost a 1-0 game in injury time. The account has struck once again, this time taking Manchester City and Chelsea under their aim.

Dominos retweeted a post from Sky Sports, which discussed the situation surrounding the two Premier League clubs over their FFP charges. Sky Sports in their post stated, “According to The Times, the threat of a 30-point deduction or automatic relegation from the Premier League would look to be very real for both Manchester City and Chelsea should charges be proved in an independent regulatory commission.

Dominos UK quickly responded to the post. The account took a sly dig at the two clubs, stating, “Please speak up when ordering tonight, as there is a tiny violin playing in the background.”

Both City and Chelsea have been charged with breaching multiple FFP laws over the years. If the two teams are found guilty of the breaches, the teams could be relegated from the Premier League, with Everton recently being docked 10 points for breaching the laws.
