Julian Alvarez’s career has changed dramatically in the last year. The Argentine attacker played an important role in Manchester City winning yesterday’s final against Fluminense. Since beginning his career at River Plate to this day, the player has launched himself into the record books. In connection to the titles that he’s been lifting nonstop with club and country, Alvarez reached an elite achievement only two other players, Cafu and Dida, have achieved.

River Plate has been a bank of great young talents for many years. Julian Alvarez arrived at Pep Guardiola’s team with few expectations from the fans after scoring 54 goals in 122 games for the Argentine club. But hardly could soccer fans predict the level of greatness he was about to achieve.

He has joined former Brazilian legends Cafu and Dida to win the Copa Libertadores, Copa America, FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Alvarez came into the record books after his magnificent game in the Club World Cup final yesterday, scoring two goals to set up the victory. The star took his fellow South American team, Fluminense, to task after heading in the first goal before the first minute and striking his second in the 88th minute. Manchester City won 4-0 to record their fifth title of the year. The player has now won five trophies just in 2023 itself.

Earlier, the great goalkeeper Dida and maestro captain Cafu achieved this feat in 2008. They won the UEFA Champions League and the Club World Cup with AC Milan earlier and were also part of the 2002 Brazilian World Cup winning squad. Nevertheless, we have now seen a new entry into the legacy.

The rise of Alvarez in world soccer!

Julian Alvarez has been an efficient find for Argentina and Manchester City. The player made his debut in 2021 and kicked off by winning the 2021 Copa America. Then a treasure trove of titles opened up for the star as he subsequently won the 2022 World Cup. It wasn’t just a supporting role played by the star. He stamped his authority by scoring an impressive four goals, including two in the semifinals.

The player was brought to Manchester after being the top scorer in the Argentine Primera División in 2021 with 18 goals. The player has already scored 27 goals and provided 14 assists in 75 games for the 2023 treble winners. After setting himself on such a great platform, Julian Alvarez will now aim for next year’s Copa America 2024.
