The expectation of being the world’s best soccer player is to score in important matches. Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are in regular competition to prove themselves as the best in the world of this generation. After all the heavy performances last season, both had a reasonable start to this season. However, Haaland was ditched by an old Premier League star in a conflict with a former MLS player.

Haaland’s inability to score in crunch games may have affected Manchester City and the opinion he created. Not only going off into his own zone like a Zombie, but Haaland can also go blank, leaving the team vulnerable in the attack. However, in a recent episode of the podcast ESPN FC, the former player Ale Moreno got passionate about Erling Haaland. The former MLS star argued after Don Hutchinson didn’t pick Haaland in his Premier League team for this season.

Moreno said, “Yes, I can because there is no best eleven in the Premier League, no best eleven at any point in the Premier League that should not involve Erling Haaland.”

Moreno was strong on his word, saying that in whatever situation, Erling Haaland should feature on the Premier League team. The list was the team of the present season until now, with eight game weeks done. Hutchinson was backing the City forward’s exclusion from his team by calling out his current form and said “You can’t say he is on top form in the eight games.”

Manchester City, after starting the tournament with wins in its first 6 games, could not maintain the lead. The Premier League has seen something different this season with Tottenham Hotspur getting to the top of the table leaving City in the third spot. Despite Kevin De Bruyne’s absence, Haaland still needs to step up to keep up with the expectations.
