This led to a series of public dramas between the two, grabbing the attention of fans and the media. Initially, it seemed things had cooled down somewhat when Shakira left Barcelona with her children in April to move to Miami.

Yet, the drama surrounding the former couple seems to have resurfaced. This time it has to do with Gerard Pique possibly filing a lawsuit against his ex.

According to reports, the point of contention is Shakira’s most recent single, named ‘Acrostico’. ‘Acrostico’ is Shakira’s third major release of the year. The Latin singer devoted this melody to her children. Not only that but both her sons also sang a few verses in the song. And its official video also features their two children, Milan and Sasha.

Reports have surfaced of Pique allegedly being displeased with the fact that Shakira had not sought prior approval from him before featuring their children in the song’s video.

While neither of them has spoken explicitly about the situation, it seems that they have finally gotten some closure on the matter. The drama today has a new twist; with Gerard Pique giving a two-word reply to the possibility of a forthcoming lawsuit against Shakira.

This news was broken to the public by the Europa Press team who were able to ask Pique, who was out having dinner with friends and partner Ibai Llanos and Carmen. When asked about the situation, all Gerard did was laugh it off with an enigmatic two-word reply. The question – “Were you aware of the appearance of your children in ‘Acrostic?’” – was met with a short reply of “Ask Ibai”.

Pique chose to dodge the question whether or not he would take the legal action that has been speculated about. Pique’s subtle reply leaves a lot to wonder. It remains to be seen what will truly happen between the former couple. However, Pique is left “fuming” about this situation.

Pique left ‘fuming’ because of Shakira

The release of Shakira’s song has caused a lot of tension between her and Gerard Pique. The appearance of their kids in the music video has Gerard Pique apparently upset that she did not run it past him prior to the official release. While it can result in possible legal repercussions, more than that Pique is reportedly angry with this situation.

This is according to a popular Spanish journalist, Jordi Martin. Jordi Martin has confirmed saying, “Of course, (he) is fuming, and on Tuesday (May 16) he met with his lawyers to take action on the matter. This last situation could put (the singer) a little more at a disadvantage”. Given this, it is highly likely for Pique to take up litigation against her.
