Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar remarked that the Barca star is in progress with his recovery. Neymar’s surgery for the torn ligament is responding well and would need significant time to get on the soccer pitch. The Brazilian doctor said, “Neymar has been recovering very well. Sunday, I was with the player for a new post-operative assessment. He’s recovering very well, still in the early stages. It’s a complex injury, he’s torn a ligament and needs to be off his feet for a while.”
Meanwhile, Lasmar was also concerned about the ankle problem Neymar had sustained before joining Al Hilal. The renowned doctor believes that this injury is hindering him from a swift recovery treatment. He also added, “Due to the associated injuries, he’s going to undergo a lengthy rehabilitation process. But he’s responding very well, we’re pleased”.

What’s next for the Brazilian icon with Al Hilal?
Neymar appeared to be facing additional challenges this season following his injury setback. Al Zaem plans to unregister the PSG star to make room for an additional foreign player in the January transfer window. The Brazilian maestro’s injury will keep him away for a lengthy recovery process, leading him to miss significant games for Al Hilal. As a result, the Saudi side plans to avoid squandering their foreign player’s slot in the squad.
Moreover, the Saudi Pro League permits to keep just eight foreign players in the squad. Neymar’s de-registering can help them sign another overseas player in the season. Jorge Jesus’s side is in need of landing a foreign left-back to bolster their defense. Certainly, the Barca icon would be reintegrated in the 2024-25 season following a complete recovery.
