On December 1, Al Nassr will lock horns with Al Hilal. While tensions to secure the vital three points might nag both sides, the pressure seems to have gotten eased for Al Nassr. This comes after Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic might miss the game after potentially getting sidelined due to injury. As per a renowned Riyadh-based physician, Mitrovic has joint pain and has even missed training. The Al Hilal star’s non-participation in training is due to persistent pain in the same ankle where he sustained an injury earlier in the season.

Although, when examined in the treatment room today, there was no obvious injury found. Yet, the doctor hasn’t ruled out the possibility of his injury and insists it may have stemmed during his time with the national team. Certainly, this is a huge blow for Jorge Jesus’ side and a huge boost for Luis Castro’s Al Nassr. His absence will surely hurt Al Hilal a lot.

Al-Hilal makes a unique request to Al Nassr

Al-Hilal’s management has approached the main referees’ committee to request an entirely non-Saudi officiating crew for the match against Al Nassr. This unit would encompass the official referee, assistants, and even a video technology referee and assistant. Additionally, the Saudi League’s main referees’ committee is actively pursuing top referees from Europe, with Italy being a focus for the Saudi Football Federation.

One take at a time

I first kicked a soccer ball when I was 12. My early exposure to playing the sport earned me many accolades at the zonal and district levels. I still remember my first goal, where I scored a 90+5 minute header like Sergio Ramos did in the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.
