Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have helped the Saudi League reach a wider audience, more than ever before. However, an Al Duhail player has snubbed the Portuguese and the Brazilian. Instead, he has praised another Al Hilal player despite getting humbled by the Knights of Najd in their recent AFC clash.

At 38, Ronaldo will look to score more goals to retain his status as one of soccer’s elites. Neymar, on the other hand, is likely to focus on his recovery from the injury to ready himself for Copa America in 2024.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace as Al Nassr defeated Qatar side Al Duhail 4-3 in the Asian Champions League group match. This result also keeps Al Nassr at the top of their AFC group. Sadio Mane and Talisca gave Al Nassr a commanding league in the first half, with Ronaldo scoring a brace in the second to put the game to bed. However, an Al Duhail player does not see Ronnie or Neymar as the best player in the Saudi League.

Almoez Ali speaking at the conference said, “I love Salem Aldawsari, and he is my favorite player in the Saudi League.” Salem Aldawsari plays as a winger for Al Hilal. The Saudi international has scored 6 goals in his 10 matches. He also scored a winner against Lionel Messi’s Argentina in a historic 2-1 win for Saudi Arabia in the group stage in Qatar.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are also focused on finding success with their national teams

Cristiano Ronaldo is performing well with the Portugal national team. He has helped his team qualify for the Euros tournament in 2024. Ronaldo managed to score 9 goals and provided 1 assist in 7 matches of the Euro qualifiers. The star forward is thriving under new manager Roberto Martinez, who has decided to primarily stick with Ronaldo after previous manager Fernando Santos benched him in favor of Goncalo Ramos.

The story of Neymar with Brazil is very different from Cristiano Ronaldo’s, as he is plagued with injury issues. However, despite this, Neymar has managed 2 goals and 3 assists in the 4 games for Brazil in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The interim manager Fernando Diniz also considers him to be a very important part of the team. However, they won’t have him available for the games against Argentina and Colombia next month. But, Neymar and the national team are hoping that he can make himself available for the 2024 Copa America.
