Pep Guardiola has become one of the best managers in the soccer world. He knows how to get the most out of his players by playing in his trademark style. However, he has also made his name for his sense of humor in his interviews and press controversies. This innate ability of his came to the forefront yet again as he gave a hilarious answer in regards to his secret with his training session tactics. 

The Manchester City manager will be disappointed with the recent 1-1 draw against Liverpool. However, he is aware that his team has shown in previous seasons that they can bounce back quickly. So, that would be the aim for Pep as he prepares his team for the next match. The Spaniard revealed a key insight into how he ensures team preparation through his trademark wit.

Manchester City is one team that has a very packed schedule. This gives them less time to prepare for upcoming matches. However, in his press conference, Pep revealed that he only takes 10 minutes during training sessions to discuss tactics. Speaking on how his players adjust, he hilariously answers,” Because I’m really good! I’m a handsome man, and I seduce them, and we do it! So, I’m really good!”. Pep further explained,” I know what I’m talking about, we do need a class and I’ll show you the videos, but you don’t have time for me!”.

The Manchester City manager also revealed that in his seven years, his team has not trained more than 35 minutes in total to avoid more injuries from happening before the matches. These comments prove that the players are aware of the demands of the manager on the matchday. The limited training has really helped them as they have no injury problems other than Kevin De Bruyne.

These comments point out that the Premier League and organizers of other competitions need to sort out the schedule congestion problem in the last few seasons. Amid all these funny comments, Pep Guardiola did show his emotions against Liverpool after the match by engaging in a verbal clash against a Liverpool star.

The match between Liverpool and Manchester City ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite only 1 goal a piece from either side, it was a very entertaining watch for the soccer fans. However, after the match. Pep Guardiola got into an argument with Darwin Nunez. However, in his post-match, he just said, “He (Darwin Nunez) is stronger than me!”. 

Jurgen Klopp also mentioned that he is not aware of what happened that triggered an argument. Despite these cryptic statements, it is clear that emotions were running high. However, Guardiola and his Manchester City team need to keep their emotions in check to avoid any problems in the Premier League title fight.
