Al Nassr boss Luis Castro has given fans a massive boost with his latest statement. The Portuguese manager provided an update on Cristiano Ronaldo‘s situation, heading into the Riyadh Season Cup clash against Al Hilal. With Cristiano unavailable against Inter Miami, fans were expecting the Al Nassr skipper to miss out on the other game as well. However, Luis Castro has confirmed that the player will be available for selection before the next game.

It is massive news for the fans, as Cristiano has been out for weeks with a muscular injury. The player has been absent from the team’s training sessions and has been working alongside his personal trainers to reach optimal fitness.

Luis Castro has allowed fans to sigh in relief with Cristiano Ronaldo set to make his return next week. The Al Nassr head coach talked about the Portuguese talisman’s return during an on-field interview, asserting, “Cristiano is in the last period of his return, and within 5 or 6 days he will return.” Cristiano has been absent from Al Nassr’s training sessions after failing to reach his desired fitness levels. 

The player reportedly picked up an injury earlier this month, which forced the side to pull out of their tour of China despite traveling to the nation for the tour. Al Nassr even apologized to the Chinese fans after failing to deliver their promises.
