Lionel Messi has broken into the Inter Miami scene explosively. It took three appearances for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to break into the top ten all-time goalscoring list. The Argentine netted five goals in his first three Inter Miami appearances, although he is yet to make his MLS debut.

The former FC Barcelona superstar joined struggling Inter Miami on the back of 14 losses this season in the MLS. The Herons will hope for Messi to propel them toward the playoffs after a disappointing start this season. And the former PSG superstar has hit the ground running. But what will it take the Argentine World Cup winner to top the goalscoring charts for Vice City?

Gonzalo Higuain: The former Argentina teammate of Messi is at the top with 29 goals in 70 appearances. Higuain played for the Herons between 2020-22 before hanging his boots.

Lionel Messi is 24 goals behind El Pipita. The way Messi started his Vice City chapter, one can expect the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to grab the top spot from his former teammate. If Messi keeps his ratio of over one goal per game, we might see the Argentine topping the list soon.
