Inter Miami hit the jackpot last season. The Herons signed eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi to a two-year contract. The Argentine hit the ground running from the get go, guiding them to their inaugural  Leagues Cup title. Nevertheless, it seems not all are used to life next to Messi. One of his fellow teammates talked about his fascination with the player, claiming that he, at times, cannot stop drooling over how good Messi is!

With some big additions to their team, Inter Miami will look to change their fortunes in the MLS this season. The side, despite some of the best names in the world, is not considered a heavy hitter. However, Herons fans have a lot of expectations from the club, and Messi is an integral cog of the machine.

Stefanelli stated, “You don’t realize it when you see it on TV. I see it in training and I drool. When he passes I say: How did you see him when the pass was behind you? This can’t be true. Because of those things, he is the best in history.”

Inter Miami signed Stefanelli last season, after he impressed with Swedish side AIK Fotboll. Also an Argentine, Stefanelli, following his move to Inter Miami, has made 30 appearances for the side but has failed to leave a major impact on the management. Meanwhile, the focus remains on their talisman, Messi, who is poised to play an integral part in Miami’s aspirations of winning a title.
