Shakira has done it again. The Colombian singer has broken yet another record and is showing no signs of slowing down. Shakira is no doubt one of the most popular singers in the world, having popularity worldwide and releasing several hits like ‘Waka Waka’ and ‘Whenever Wherever’.

The Latin singer’s new song might be different than her usual songs but is doing numbers for the artist. Shakira earlier this month released a diss track named,  “Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53” targeting ex-boyfriend and FC Barcelona legend Gerard Pique and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira makes Spotify history

Shakira’s new diss track has made her the first Latin artist on Spotify to cross 70 million monthly listeners. She surpassed artists like Bad Bunny, who had the previous record of 68 million listeners, and famous ”On the Floor” singer Jennifer Lopez, who sits at 22 million.

The song has definitely taken the world by storm. Not only it has helped the artist top the Spotify charts but it also broke the record for the most views Latin songs in 24 hours, reaching 63 million views. The song has been received well by fans. And has definitely helped put the artist back in the spotlight after a tough year Shakira dealt with following the break-up.
