Liverpool fans are still trying to digest the club’s latest announcement. In a surprising turn of events, head coach Jurgen Klopp has announced his departure from the club, with the German leaving his post at the end of the season. In an emotional message, Klopp addressed the fans, stating he was starting to get tired with time. However, club legend Jose Enrique has lashed out at the club’s billionaire owners for pushing the German tactician to his limits.

Liverpool will look to give an apt send-off to their manager come summer. The Reds are in contention for a potential quadruple and would love nothing more to get their hands on all four trophies. Liverpool is currently on top of the Premier League standings while making way to the knockout stages of the Europa League, FA Cup, and finals of the Carabao Cup.

Jurgen Klopp’s decision to step down as Liverpool’s head coach has come off as a massive surprise to club supporters. Fans are yet to digest the news as they hoped the German would remain with the club for years to come. It seems like club icon Jose Enrique is also in the same boat. Enrique reacted to Klopp’s departure, responding to the Premier League’s tribute message to Klopp stating, “We all know why, and is FSG in my opinion. He has got tired of them simple as that. I’m so mad right now.”

While Enrique’s frustrations are understandable, it is crucial to understand how Klopp shared a great relationship with FSG. The German, in his message, acknowledged FSG for their support while narrating their reaction to his decision. While one would believe Klopp and the owners have not seen eye to eye because of multiple financial shortcomings, the two parties enjoy more than an amicable relationship.

Jurgen Klopp opens up on FSG’s reaction to his exit from Liverpool

Klopp touched on FSG’s reaction to his resignation, addressing the fans. The German stated that he wanted to part ways with the club on good terms rather than wait for a dip in performance to get sacked. “We developed a really good relationship over the years, but I explained it and they have known me now for so long that they know I don’t say these kinds of things and leave a little bit of the door open: ‘Come on, try to convince me’ and these kind of things.”

The German added, “As I said, we’ve known each other for so long and that’s good. That was clear, and they accepted. They just accepted it. Nobody was really happy. The few people I have told so far, who I told so far, were not really happy. I am not happy with it. I just know it’s right.”
