It took half a season, but it looks like Manchester City is finally finding the rub of the green. Title rivals Arsenal have dropped a lot of points while Pep Guardiola‘s men emerged victorious in a tough away game against Everton. New signings like Mattheus Nunes and Josko Gvardiol are also starting to click together as a unit. However, Man City has just received news that could ‘make or break their season‘. An injury update has emerged for their superstar trio of Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, and Jeremy Doku.

Injuries have constantly halted Man City’s momentum this campaign. Despite their victory at Goodison Park, influential defender John Stones was forced off due to an injury that didn’t look good. ‘We’re not top of the league’, Guardiola rates arch-rivals ahead of Man City!

With 5 Premier League titles in his 7 seasons with the Sky Blues, most would expect Guardiola’s side to be title favorites. However, the Spanish tactician doesn’t agree. In a recent press conference, he said, “We’re not top of the league, Liverpool are better”, as per BBC. Is Pep looking to tone down the sky-high expectations?

As per the Spaniard, his side has had injuries and other problems. However, he did add that the level and state of his side are very good and the next months are ‘less intense’ in comparison to November and December. Hence, it seems like the perfect opportunity to ease KDB and the other recovering Cityzens back into the team.
