Brazil was held to a 1-1 draw against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers. The team failed to score the winning goal even after dominating with the possession. Star man of the team Neymar also failed to have any sort of extraordinary impact on the pitch. A journalist has now called out the Brazilian icon for not having the required ‘intelligence’ of the sport leading to his poor performances. This certain person was also quick to point out the Al Hilal icon’s physical well-being among other factors.

It looks like the pressure to perform well is increasing every day on the Brazilian. Soccer fans on social media are also questioning his selection for the national team. The Al-Hilal star will have to perform at the highest levels for the next seasons to make it look like his selection in the 2026 FIFA World Cup makes sense.

Brazil failed to create any chances in the final minutes after Venezuela equalized against them. Hence, they were held to a 1-1 draw in the World Cup qualifiers. The national team remains in second place in the qualifiers table. However, the Brazilian soccer fans and media think that the team should have easily won the match. They are also targeting star player Neymar for his poor performance. Journalist Walter Casagrande has particularly torn Neymar into shreds.

The Columnist speaking on the performance of the Brazilian said, “Neymar has no football intelligence. He didn’t even want to learn, nor did he want to learn tactics. Neymar always trusted that he would get the ball, go for three or four guys, and he was going to dribble. He was always sure of that, not only his age but also the lack of training he had. He’s out of shape. I’m not saying he’s fat, out of shape means he has no strength, he can’t run, he loses splits, and he can’t play 90 minutes. The head thinks, but the body doesn’t do anything else.”

The Brazilian soccer star decided to leave PSG this summer. He signed for Saudi giants Al-Hilal. However, he could not play for them immediately. This is because the Brazilian arrived at the club with minor injury issues. Hence, the club had to include giving appearances as a substitute. Therefore, Neymar has found it difficult for him to settle in Saudi Arabia. He recently also witnessed the birth of his child.

Neymar is now fit, and he is also finding his feet with Al-Hilal. The Brazilian has made important contributions to the Saudi club in the Asian Champions League. Hence, the Brazilian seemingly needs to keep starting games in the league and other competitions for Al-Hilal. The soccer star will no doubt earn big money in Saudi Arabia. However, the intention of the PSG icon remains to play the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the national team as a starter.
