“No Fury Like a Woman” – US Soccer Legend Had Something to Say About Shakira’s Latest “Trashing” of Gerard Pique Through Latest Song

Breakups are tough; people go through several stages of emotional trauma, acceptance, and forgiveness. However, Shakira seems to have taken a rather different approach.

Gerard Pique and Shakira were together for 11 years, however, both announced their separation in a joint statement last June. They’ve had numerous brawls since then, with many revelations about their relationship also coming to light.

It was just days ago that the Columbian was already furious with the Spanish international. He was said guilty of exposing her son on a live stream without her consent.

Shakira and Pique are once again in the headlines with yet another tussle. This time the famous singer had another way to belittle the FC Barcelona man.

Shakira takes a dig at Pique

Recently, Shakira released a song with Argentine music star Bizarrap, entitled “BZRP Music Session #53.” In that song, she expressed her strong emotions after their breakup. The lyrics clearly tell us how she got conned by her ex-boyfriend, who left her for an inferior person.

“Sorry, baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago,  I’m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone just like you,” said Shakira in Spanish.

The singer has also had a few strong words for Pique’s new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. “She has the name of a good person”, “She’s clearly the same as you”, and “I’m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone just like you.”

Although, the word ‘Claramente’ may mean ‘clearly’, it is also the name of his new girlfriend. Shakira also took a clear hit on the center back by saying “I wish you good luck with my supposed replacement”, “I’m worth two of 22”, “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo”, “You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

The song may defame Pique and his new girlfriend, but it is already getting many hits on the internet. Netizens have taken the saga on the internet and given their views.

Former US soccer legend Alexi Lalas also joined the discussion and had his say on the couple. The ex- LA center back was asked by a fan to give his take on the situation. He said, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”

The line means there is no one who is as furious as a woman who has been romantically betrayed. The former player summarized Shakira’s whole situation and what she has been feeling since their separation. Alexi was a center-back who played for US national team and has played for many domestic clubs within the county.

We don’t know how long the brawl between them is going to last, but it seems things will likely go that way. Nevertheless, we must admit that this might be one of the most creative ways to take revenge for a betrayal.
