Chelsea legend and Belgian international, Eden Hazard, broke hearts as he announced his retirement from professional soccer. The Belgian winger won the Premier League twice with the Blues before joining Real Madrid in 2019, a move that derailed the forward’s career. A Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2012, Eden Hazard remains one of the most loved figures at Stamford Bridge. In a social media poll, fans voiced out their love and admiration for the Belgian international, choosing him over Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah.

Belgium’s No. 10 sway the hearts of soccer fans with his exceptional dribbling skills. Although things went awry at Madrid, his iconic goals against the Premier League’s top six will, nevertheless, be cherished by Chelsea fans.

It feels like yesterday that a young Hazard joined Roman Abrahimovic’s Chelsea from LOSC Lille and took the soccer world by storm. The Londoners since have not been able to find a replacement for such a talented star. His dribbling, his clinical shots, and free-kicks are nothing short of magical.

Soccer heads acknowledge his talents as many took to X to share their opinion on the comparison between Eden Hazard and Liverpool’s Egyptian King. Taking his vote, an X user by the name of Dean wrote, “This is not even a debate, no one could lay a finger on Eden Hazard.”

And he wasn’t the only one harboring this feeling. Another Hazard fan wrote, “Eden Hazard, not a debate”.

Another Chelsea fan took a dig at Salah pickers as he wrote, “All the rival fans picking Salah because Eden dunked on all of them for years.”

Another fan wrote, “Hazard any day.”

Another fan shared his opinion explaining the reason behind her vote, as he wrote, “Hazard. Salah will punish you with a goal, but you can neutralize him if you play him right. Hazard could be unplayable at his best.”

Another fan wrote joined Team Hazard as he wrote, “Hazard”.

More Hazard fans came pouring their love for the soccer star as another fan wrote, “Hazard every single day of the week. Twice the player Salah is. Let the Liverpool fans cry in the comments”.

Another X user wrote, “Eden Hazard no doubt about it.” 

Among the many reactions was a fan who took a logical approach as he wrote, “Hazard better dribbler salah the better goal scorer”.

Hazard penned an emotional farewell as he explained his decision to retire from soccer. The message brings back raw emotions among fans of the Belgian talent as they come to terms with his decision to end his career.

Hazard pens emotional message for his supporters

Eden Hazard posted an emotional farewell message for his fans through Instagram. The Belgian international wrote, “You must listen to yourself and say stop at the right time. After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer.”
