Every transfer season has Kylian Mbappe‘s potential move to Real Madrid at its epicenter. It has been so for ages, and this transfer window is no outlier. In fact, the Mbappe-Madrid soap opera reached its maximum momentum this time, as the player’s contract with PSG will expire when the season ends. Adding fuel to the frenzy, the Frenchman waived ‘tens of millions of bonus’ from Paris Saint-Germain for a smooth exit. Nonetheless, the player has not given a hint as to where he is heading next. Though Madrid is his projected destination, not everyone wants to see Mbappe in the Spanish capital.
Shortly after his French Super Cup win with PSG, the 25-year-old gave a cryptic response on his future. “My future is not an internal subject. You have to think about the team,” said Mbappe. Renowned journalist Josef Pedrerol thinks it is high time Mbappe gives up the drama and has sent him a warning.

The Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid saga took center stage in the Spanish TV show ‘El Chiringuito de Jugones.’ Show host, Josef Pedrerol, who is close to Real Madrid, was quick to give his hot take on the subject. “Mbappé, playing for Real Madrid is not a good idea,” said the Spanish journalist. Furthermore, he added that the French captain is taking risks by leaving his future unclear and testing Madrid president Florentino Perez’s patience. The PSG centerpiece leaving his future unclear is indeed surprising, as he has already made a move for a smooth exit.

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly waived PSG bonuses amounting to around $100 million. It would cover the club financially if Mbappe were to leave Paris when his contract expires in June. The 2018 World Cup remarked that he reached this agreement with the club’s President to ensure the side’s ‘peace of mind.’ However, his potential switch to Real Madrid does not enjoy the same momentum it once had among the club’s fanbase.
